Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of children and contribute to a brighter and healthier future for all.Summary:This position independently operates ultrasound equipment used to produce quality diagnostic echocardiography to ensure optimal patient care.:Responsibilities:* Perform inpatient and outpatient diagnostic cardiac sonograms in accordance with the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) guidelines for digital image acquisition.* Perform advanced echo imaging including echo guidance for interventional procedures, such as ECMO, LVAD, ASD devices, Balloon Septostomy, and PCE taps.* Assist with intraoperative TEE.* Responsible for performing, archiving and calculations of all pediatric cardiac ultrasound imaging by using appropriate machine optimization, probe selection and patient positioning.* Utilize critical thinking skills and a segmental approach while imaging to produce diagnostic high-quality studies in normal to complex congenital heart defects.* Participate fully in call schedule including satellite areas.* Participate in biweekly educational echo conferences and clinical research studies.* Preceptor for students and fellows.* Participate in quality improvement activities.EDUCATION* Two-year Associate’s degree or equivalent experience Echocardiography required* Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferredxc2xa0LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS* Certified in Pediatric Echo by ARDMS or CCI (ARDMS is preferred over CCI) requiredxc2xa0* Certified in one (1) of the following: Fetal, Adult, Vascular preferred* Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers as required by CP 1.20 Life Support Course Requirements requiredxc2xa0A Place Where You BelongWe put our people first.
