Through the application of adult learning theory and strong instructional design, the Clinical Educator’s work results in measurable program outcomes in areas such as new hire orientation, ongoing competency, in-services, continuing education, career development, scholarship/research, and academic partnerships.Area:xc2xa0Neurology (Neuro), Pulmonology (Pulm), Cardiology (Cards), and General Pediatrics (Gen Peds)Responsibilities:Onboarding/Orientation: The Clinical Educator develops, coordinates, manages, facilitates, conducts and evaluates onboarding and orientation programs for clinical personnel including transition-to-practice programs for novice or new graduate clinicians.Competency Management: The Clinical Educator develops, coordinates, manages, facilitates, conducts and evaluates initial and ongoing competency programs for clinical personnel.Education: The Clinical Educator designs, implements and evaluates educational activities and programs based on identified practice gaps for a specific target audience. The Clinical Educator utilizes knowledge of educational theory and adult learning principles to enhance the professional development of clinical personnel.Professional Role Development: The Clinical Educator identifies and develops strategies to facilitate a continuous process of growth through lifelong learning including: role transition, role integration, skill acquisition and skill mastery.Quality Improvement/Evidence-based Practice/Research: The Clinical Educator integrates the best research evidence into didactic and clinical education design.
