ALCHEMI RESEARCH CENTER, LLC is seeking a CARDIOLOGIST as a Principal Investigator (PI) at our West Houston location,* for a current CLINICAL TRIALS* study that requires a CARDIOLOGIST practicing with a current medical license. ALCHEMI RESEARCH CENTER is a full-service clinical research site in the greater Houston area that conducts CLINICAL TRIALS. If you are not already familiar with CLINICAL TRIALS, the following is a brief and simplified summary: A clinical trial is a research study that involves human volunteers. Heralded as the best, if not the only way, to advance medicine, CLINICAL TRIALS are designed to evaluate new ways to prevent, detect, or treat disease. WHAT WE DO We conduct industry-sponsored trials. We work with pharmaceutical & device companies to conduct CLINICAL TRIALS. The pharmaceutical and device companies design the trials and own the protocol. We are not academic research. You will not be required to write papers. We would provide a brief list of your role & responsibilities. ALCHEMI RESEARCH CENTER is looking for a responsible Physician to provide high-quality medical care by examining patients and treating diseases. You will undertake tasks aiming at the prevention and promotion of healthy habits. The job is one of the most demanding but also the most rewarding professions. A great physician is a highly qualified professional and a compassionate individual. You must be very knowledgeable in regard to diseases, epidemiology, and other medical conditions so you can interpret symptoms and diagnose conditions. The job can be demanding, so a great deal of patience and physical endurance is required. You will learn and develop your experience in research and will get compensated for doing it. We are looking to build long-term relationships and partnerships with the right physicians. It is PREFERRED that the physician HAVE THEIR OWN PRACTICE. RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct routine check-ups with patients to assess their health condition and discover possible issues. Give appropriate advice for healthy habits (diet, hygiene, etc.) and preventative actions to promote overall health. Conduct examinations of ill patients and evaluate symptoms to determine their condition. Ask intuitive questions to discover the causes of illness. Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patientxe2x80x99s medical history. Prescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain more information for underlying infections or abnormalities. Prescribe medications or drugs and provide comprehensive instructions for administration. Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, and nurses to form a high-performing medical team. Examine and provide treatments for injuries and refer patients to other physicians when needed. Keep records of patientsxe2x80x99 diseases, operations, or other significant information (e.g., allergic episodes) Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients. Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars. SKILLS Proven experience as a physician Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms, and epidemiology Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects, and contraindications In-depth knowledge of legal, medical guidelines and medicine best practices Excellent oral and written communication skills Respect for patient confidentiality Compassionate and approachable Responsible and trustworthy Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) and valid license to practice the profession. REQUIREMENTS Current MD Currently licensed No complaints or derogatory action from FDA on record.
